More than 130 passengers went on a trip on the tourist train "Keruen Express"

On May 6, more than 130 passengers went on a trip on the tourist train "Keruen Express", launched by JSC "Passenger Transportation". The new route connects Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, providing tourists with a unique opportunity to visit the historical and cultural attractions of the two countries.
The tourist train departed from Almaty and follows the route: Almaty - Turkestan - Tashkent - Samarkand - Bukhara - Almaty. The tour duration is 6 days: from May 6 to 11, 2025.
The current train is the sixth tourist train running between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The train consists of five modern carriages: four compartment carriages and one dining carriage. The domestically produced carriages are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable journey, and the interior is decorated in a national style with elements of Kazakh ornament.
The route covers the region's iconic cultural and historical centers. The program includes visits to the largest architectural and historical monuments, including:
● Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Mausoleum and Otyrar settlement in Turkestan,
● Amir Timur Mausoleum and Registan Square in Samarkand,
● Ark Fortress and Lyabi-Khauz Square in Bukhara,
● Hazrati Imam Memorial Complex and Tole Bi Mausoleum in Tashkent, etc.
The tour price includes: travel on a tourist train, an excursion program with professional guides, entrance tickets, and transfers organized by tour operators.
The project was implemented by KTZ with the assistance of Uzbekistan Railways, the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Kazakh Tourism.
The launch of "Keruen Express" is an important step in the development of railway tourism, contributing to the strengthening of cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and the popularization of the historical heritage of the region.
