The management of KTZ and CRRC held a meeting

In Beijing, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Management Board of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC Talgat Aldybergenov and the Secretary of the Party Committee - Chairman of the Management Board of CRRC Corporation Limited Mr. Sun Yongcai.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of locomotive building and rolling stock modernization. KTZ and CRRC have been cooperating for more than 20 years, during which time large projects for the supply of railway equipment have been implemented.

The KTZ network operates over 6,000 freight cars, 150 passenger cars and over 100 locomotives manufactured by CRRC. Within the framework of the contract concluded in 2024 for the purchase of 200 locomotives (100 shunting and 100 mainline), deliveries are being carried out on schedule. Diesel locomotives have been successfully certified for the 1520 mm gauge area and are already involved in the transportation process. Hybrid locomotives are undergoing testing.

“We highly value the established partnership and are confident that our cooperation will be long-term and mutually beneficial,” noted T. Aldybergenov.

The parties agreed on further strategic cooperation.
