Kazakhstan Temir Zholy informed market participants about the progress of grain transportation

Representatives of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy participated in a meeting of the grain transportation task force under the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Major shippers, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, grain terminals, the ports of Kuryk and Aktau, and elevator owners from across the country participated in the event.

At the meeting, KTZ provided participants with an update on the current situation and measures taken to stabilize the transportation process, improve its efficiency, and ensure timely grain shipments. The company reported on the fulfillment of grain loading plans for the first two months of the current marketing year.

It was noted that temporary difficulties were observed in the direction of Central Asia. To preserve the harvest, free up elevator capacity, and increase the rate of grain shipments, KTZ temporarily restricted the movement of all cargo through Saryagash station, with the exception of grain.

A plan to increase train throughput was agreed upon with the Uzbek side. Stations in Uzbekistan where grain transportation routes will be organized have been identified.

During the meeting, plans for future transportation and measures to ensure sustainable logistics during the period of active grain exports were also discussed. Shippers received comprehensive answers to their questions.
