KTZ train drivers prevented dozens of accidents at railway crossings
15 07 2025
Since the beginning of 2025, KTZ drivers have prevented 32 potential road accidents at railway crossings. Thanks to their professionalism, efficiency and high responsibility, it was possible to avoid consequences for passengers, as well as damage to rolling stock and infrastructure.
In all cases, car drivers violated traffic rules: they drove onto the tracks in front of an approaching train, left their vehicles at crossings and left the scene of the accident. In all incidents, drivers applied emergency braking, which helped avoid collisions. These cases affected the train schedule.
Information about each incident was transferred to law enforcement agencies.
KTZ reminds: compliance with traffic rules when crossing railway crossings is a mandatory safety condition. Irresponsible behavior of drivers poses a serious threat to all participants in the transport process.
The company continues systematic work to improve the level of safety at crossings, strengthening interaction with authorized bodies and conducting active explanatory work among the population. Ensuring safety on the railway remains one of the priority areas of KTZ activity.
