KTZ summed up the results of ensuring the safety of transported goods

An expanded meeting was held at KTZ dedicated to the implementation of a comprehensive action Plan to ensure the safety of transported goods. The event was attended by representatives of the Police Department for Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KTZ subsidiaries, the Directorate of the Backbone Network and the regions.
The comprehensive action plan covers organizational, preventive and engineering measures aimed at the safety of goods and inventory. It was noted that in 2024, the number of cases of unsecured cargo decreased fourfold compared to 2023.
As part of the plan, preventive months and decadals were conducted, focused on improving the quality of receiving goods such as non-ferrous metals, ferroalloys, flour shipped to Afghanistan, as well as cargo on container trains on the China-Europe-China route. Special attention was paid to the safety and security of these goods at all stages of transportation.
In addition, specialized seminars and meetings were organized with the participation of specialists from structural divisions. In particular, a seminar was held to discuss regulatory and legal aspects, safety and quality issues of transshipment at border crossings.
Meetings were also held on ensuring the safety of such cargoes as ferroalloys, aluminum and cathode copper, with the participation of representatives of the Police Department for Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, VZHDO LLP, Trans Monitoring Eurasia LLP, shippers TNK Kazchrome JSC, Kazzink LLP and the carrier DAR Rail LLP. The issues of installing inspection complexes at interstate docking stations and video cameras at criminal sites were discussed. Meetings were also held on improving the safety of diesel fuel, aluminum, barley, wheat, sunflower, aluminum oxide and bulk cargoes.
An important outcome of the meeting was the approval of a Comprehensive plan of joint activities for 2025-2026. The plan includes continued efforts to strengthen cargo safety measures, improve the quality of service, and introduce new technologies to ensure transportation safety.
