KTZ: A number of agreements have been reached with key partners in China

A delegation of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC headed by Chairman of the Management Board Talgat Aldybergenov took part in strategic negotiations with international partners within the framework of the XII Congress of the International Union of Railways (UIC), held in Beijing.

Negotiations were held with the management of the Chinese corporation CRRC — the world leader in the production of railway equipment. Prospects for deepening cooperation, including the supply of rolling stock, the implementation of innovative solutions and the possibility of localizing production in Kazakhstan were discussed.

A working meeting was also held with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Mr. Song Hailiang. The expansion of cooperation in the implementation of large-scale transport and infrastructure projects was discussed, including the construction of the Bakhty-Ayagoz railway line as part of the development of the Trans-Caspian route. An agreement was reached to continue the dialogue in a number of areas, including logistics and infrastructure modernization.

In addition, a meeting was held with the management of Azerbaijan Railways. The main focus was on the development of the Trans-Caspian route and increasing the volume of transit traffic between the countries.

A significant result of the visit was the signing of the Agreement on Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation between KTZ and China Railways. The new agreement replaced the previous one, concluded in 2014, and reflects the current priorities of the two countries in the field of transport cooperation.

The KTZ delegation also got acquainted with the technology exhibition, where modern solutions in the field of digitalization, automation and sustainable logistics were presented.

KTZ continues to strengthen international cooperation, introducing innovations and strengthening the position of Kazakhstan as a key transit hub of Eurasia.
