KTZ Management Visited the Stadler Plant to Check Readiness for the Launch of New Cars

KTZ Chairman of the Board, Talgat Aldybergenov, together with representatives of Passenger Transportation JSC, paid a working visit to the Stadler plant to review production progress and check the readiness of the passenger cars. The new cars are tentatively scheduled for launch in December of this year.

During the visit, the National Carrier delegation inspected the first passenger and generator cars and discussed the upcoming Kazakh-Swiss Business Council.

The key advantages of the new cars are their modern engineering solutions aimed at improving passenger comfort and safety. The cars, adapted for operation in challenging climatic conditions, have a service life of 40 years. 

The company is focused on the production of compartment, reserved seat, and specialized (for passengers with reduced mobility) carriages. The first batch of carriages is scheduled for delivery in 2025, and by 2030, 557 new trains will be in service, allowing the National Carrier to completely renew its fleet. Currently, the company employs over 720 people.

In addition to manufacturing custom-made carriages for the National Carrier, Stadler Kazakhstan LLP will provide full technical support for them for 20 years.

Incidentally, the first batch of Stadler carriages will be launched next year on four routes: No. 3/4 "Astana - Almaty," No. 353/354 "Astana - Semey," No. 85/86 "Astana - Shymkent," and No. 47/48 "Astana - Atyrau."
