KTZ invests in equipment modernization and improvement of working conditions

JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is implementing a large-scale Program for the development of mainline railway network facilities until 2030. The goal of the program is to modernize the technical base, increase operational efficiency and improve the working conditions of railway workers.

To date, 16 units of specialized track equipment have been purchased. By the end of the year, three more electric ballasters and 90 units of hopper-dosing cars are expected to be delivered, which will significantly increase production capacity and improve the quality of maintenance of the railway infrastructure.

As part of measures to improve working conditions and organize work processes, 117 vehicles have been purchased to deliver teams to the places where repair and restoration work is being carried out. For the prompt transportation of personnel, MPT-6 motor locomotives are purchased - 4 units per year. Each such motor locomotive is designed to transport up to 22 people. 

Particular attention is paid to maintenance and extension of the service life of equipment. Every year, scheduled repairs are carried out on 715 units of specialized equipment, 815 motor and tractor vehicles and about 1,800 units of small mechanization.

To strengthen the production base, a new Aktobe mechanized track section was created this year, located in the city of Aktobe. The new center will reduce logistics costs, bring resources closer to work sites and speed up the implementation of production tasks. The opening of the new division will also become an impetus for the development of regional infrastructure and the creation of additional jobs.

JSC NC KTZ will continue systematic work to modernize the production base. These steps are aimed at improving the reliability and safety of rail transportation, as well as creating comfortable working conditions.
