KTZ invests in the development of Dostyk station and improving the quality of life of railway workers

NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC continues its systematic work to develop the country's key transportation hubs, focusing not only on infrastructure projects but also on the social well-being of its employees and residents. One striking example is the large-scale transformation of Dostyk Station, which is becoming a strategic link in international transportation and a growth hub for the region.

From 2006 to 2025, KTZ's total investment in the development of Dostyk Station amounted to 31.5 billion tenge. Both infrastructure and social projects were implemented within the framework of this program:

• Housing construction: residential buildings were constructed, providing housing for railway workers and their families;
   
• Wagon transfer station: a facility was built that significantly accelerated freight operations at the junction with China;
   
• Reconstruction of Transfer Station (PM)-4 and PM-4A: upgrading production capacity;
   
• Modernization of the microprocessor-based interlocking system, energy system, fleet, and electrical interlocking station, resulting in improved technological efficiency and safety.
   

A number of projects have also been undertaken to construct, modernize, renovate, and repair the Dostyk station's fixed assets.

Such investments not only strengthen the country's transit potential but also significantly improve living and working conditions at one of the most important border crossings. KTZ continues to develop Dostyk Station as a modern logistics hub and a socially oriented area.
