KTZ is implementing projects to improve the safety and reliability of railway infrastructure.

KTZ continues its systematic work to modernize its infrastructure and enhance rail safety.

A public address system, a key element of transport safety, has been installed at six stations. The project was organized by the Department of Automation, Telemechanics, and Telecommunications of the Main Line Network Directorate, a branch of NC KTZ JSC. The system ensures timely notification of employees and passengers, coordinates actions between duty officers, drivers, and crews, prevents accidents and technological risks, and improves service levels at stations. 

The project is particularly relevant given the increasing intensity of train traffic and the modernization of the industry.
 

In addition, the department is implementing a program to replace power panels for electrical interlocking devices (EC) that have reached the end of their service life. Replacements were completed at ten stations in 2025. Of the 55 panels scheduled for replacement, 35 new ones, which meet modern reliability and energy efficiency requirements, have already been installed. The new panels provide stable voltage and are equipped with a protection and diagnostic system that allows for prompt fault detection.

The installation of panels at the remaining stations is planned for completion by the end of 2027, which will allow for a complete upgrade of the power supply system for the EC devices and improve the reliability and safety of the signaling, centralization, and blocking systems.
