KTZ held talks with leading logistics companies in Sichuan Province and Chengdu

As part of a working visit to the People's Republic of China, Chairman of the Management Board of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC Talgat Aldybergenov held talks with the  management of Sichuan Port and Shipping Investment Group Co., Ltd. (SPSI) and Chengdu International Railway Port Investment & Development Co., Ltd. (CIPI).

With the management of SPSI, the prospects for creating an international interaction hub Kazakhstan - Xinjin (Chengdu, PRC), as well as projects for the development of warehouse infrastructure, construction of grain terminals and agrohubs in Kazakhstan were discussed. The Chinese side presented digital solutions using artificial intelligence technologies for building transportation routes. During the visit, the KTZ delegation got acquainted with the work of the Yungang Xinjin railway logistics park and the SPSI grain terminal, which can become a key link in the export of Kazakh agricultural products to China and the countries of Southeast Asia.
 

With CIPI, the possibilities of building a joint dry port in Chengdu and developing terminal infrastructure, including capacities for transshipment of grain cargo, were discussed. The KTZ delegation also visited the CIPI International Multimodal Transportation Management Center with an area of 17.6 hectares. The complex includes more than 150 thousand square meters of modern warehouse space, including specialized temperature, customs and chemical warehouses.

"Kazakhstan and China play a key role in the development of transit transportation between Asia and Europe. The implementation of joint infrastructure projects will improve the efficiency of transport corridors and expand international cooperation," said T. Aldybergenov.
