KTZ held public hearings on the company's performance in the first half of 2025

JSC NC KTZ held public hearings on the company's performance in the first half of 2025 on the provision of regulated services of the main railway network, access roads and transmission of electric energy in the sphere of natural monopolies and on the main tasks for the second half of 2025. The hearings were held at the company's central office, including the organization of an online broadcast.

The event, chaired by the Director of the Tariff Policy Department of JSC NC KTZ Dias Tusupbekov, was attended by representatives of the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, consumers of services.

Executive Director for Economics of the branch of JSC NC KTZ - Directorate of the Main Line Network Erlan Kizatov in his report reflected general information about the entity, performance indicators in the field of providing services of the main railway network, access roads, and transmission of electric power. He spoke about the fulfillment of volumes and quality of services provided, the implementation of the investment program, the achievement of key financial and economic indicators and prospects for the development of activities, itemized execution of the tariff estimate, as well as the work carried out with consumers of services.

Freight turnover in regulated services of the main railway network (export, import, domestic traffic) amounted to 103,899 million ton-km. Revenues from the provision of regulated services of the main railway network amounted to 375 billion tenge. The total investment volume in the first half of 2025 for regulated services of the main railway network amounted to 83,641 million tenge, including 51,334 million tenge from its own funds.

The company has done a lot of work and achieved positive dynamics in reducing the volume of kilometers of track requiring major repairs. However, there is still a lot of work to be done to further reduce it.

A program has been developed and is being implemented to increase throughput capacity by implementing large infrastructure projects and eliminating infrastructure bottlenecks. Second tracks have been built on the Dostyk-Moiynty section. New lines Darbaza-Maktaaral, Kyzylzhar-Moiynty, and a bypass line around the Almaty hub are being built.

Much attention is paid to improving social and living conditions and increasing the level of work organization for workers.
