KTZ held a meeting of the Grain Headquarters

A meeting of the Grain Headquarters was held at NC KTZ JSC with the participation of  representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Corporation JSC, branches of KTZ-Freight  Transportation LLC - railway departments, Regional Transportation Management Centers, as well as the largest rolling stock operators Kaztemirtrans, Astyktrans, shippers, owners of railway branches and sea terminals.

During the meeting, it was noted that in the first half of the marketing year (from September 2024 to February 2025), the volume of new crop grain loading on the KTZ network amounted to 7.4 million tons, which is 47% more than in the same period last year. Domestic grain transportation increased by 30% to 1.6 million tons, while export deliveries increased by 53% to 5.8 million tons.

Export growth is observed in all key directions: 3.2 million tons of grain were sent to Central Asian countries (+33%), 248 thousand tons to Afghanistan (+36%). Deliveries to Iran (+660 thousand tons, a 17-fold increase) and Azerbaijan (+360 thousand tons, a 90-fold increase) have been resumed.

In just two months of 2025, more than 2.4 million tons of grain were transported via the KTZ network (+42.5%), including 1.9 million tons for export (+44.5%).

Currently, there is a surplus of grain carriers and covered wagons, which is due to a decrease in loading rates due to the long holidays in March.

NC KTZ JSC calls on shippers to intensify deliveries to destinations for which subsidies for transport costs are provided. These include ports in Russia and the Baltic States.

NC KTZ JSC  continues to provide reliable logistics and effective interaction with grain market participants. The infrastructure, wagon and locomotive fleet are sufficient to transport the declared cargo.
