29-07-2025

In the first half of 2025, the number of traffic safety violations committed by the Company's structural divisions decreased by 4%. Since 2018, KTZ has seen a steady trend of an annual decrease in the number of violations.

One of the key events was a strategic session with top managers on the topic of forming a culture of operational safety. Following the session, a Roadmap was developed for the formation and maintenance of the principles of the "Culture of Operational Traffic Safety". The document is aimed at increasing the involvement of employees in compliance with technological processes, training personnel, developing independent control and creating an atmosphere of trust.

More than 100 heads of regional and linear divisions were trained in the principles of the "Culture of Operational Traffic Safety". This reduced the number of violations due to personnel fault by 34%.

In order to improve the qualifications of young specialists, work continues on developing electronic courses on studying the Rules for the Technical Operation of Railways, Instructions for Signaling and Train Movement. Also.

The company has implemented digital safety management tools. Among them are the automated system "Safety Auditor", the information complex "Info-Center", the traffic safety risk analysis system.

The development of automated systems is underway: "Commission Monthly Inspection", "Audit".

To identify risks on track sections, the system "Comprehensive Analysis of the Pre-Failure State of a Continuous Welded Track" and "Program for Calculating the Pre-Failure State of the Track Geometry" are used.

Data for these systems is provided by modern diagnostic tools: mobile diagnostic complexes (MDK) - with the functions of measuring track geometry, flaw detection, ground penetrating radar and video monitoring, and mobile diagnostic laboratories (MDL) - self-propelled combined laboratories on a railway and road chassis, the productivity of which is 5-7 times higher compared to flaw detection trolleys.

The company carries out active information and explanatory work on the rules for being on transport facilities and grazing livestock. Recommendations on livestock chipping for timely response when it approaches the railway track have been sent to akimats.

In cooperation with the transport police, a Roadmap for improving the level of security and safety of property is being implemented.

Work on ensuring security is reflected in the "Comprehensive Plan" approved by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Among the priorities are: modernization of infrastructure and rolling stock, introduction of video surveillance for compliance with technological processes, installation of video recording systems at crossings, construction of fences in areas of mass grazing of livestock and improvement of the regulatory framework.

JSC "NC "KTZ" continues to implement comprehensive measures for the sustainable and safe operation of the railway industry.
