KTZ: First container train from Shanxi Province (China) to Azerbaijan sent via TITR route

KTZ Express, a subsidiary of KTZ, has completed the multimodal transportation of the first container train from Shanxi Province (PRC) to Azerbaijan via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

The train, consisting of 50 standard containers with sets of photovoltaic modules with a total weight of over 1,150 tons, was formed and sent from the Zhongding logistics center in Jinzhong. The train proceeded through the territory of Kazakhstan and arrived at the port of Aktau. Then the cargo was transported by sea to Azerbaijan.

The launch of a new route from northern China along the Middle Corridor demonstrates the growing importance of the TITR, and also strengthens the status of Kazakhstan as a key transit link in Eurasian logistics.
