Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company JSC announces a call for applications to develop a next-generation digital solution to modernize its automated transportation process management system (ATPMS) and invites domestic IT experts to collaborate on the project.
As the current system nears its end of life, KTZ is embarking on a large-scale project to create an innovative digital rail transportation platform.
The ATPMS system was designed to create and maintain a real-time information model of rail transportation (departure, wagon, train, container, and locomotive). It logically links all key railway business processes (transportation processing, train formation and routing, traction resource management, monitoring of rolling stock location and technical condition, maintaining records, and machine-to-machine data exchange with national railway administration information systems, interstate railway administration databases, etc.). The ATPMS system data is used for management, forecasting, and operational planning.
The new system will be a key element of KTZ's digital transformation and will be aimed at improving the efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness of rail transportation management. According to the plan, trial operation of the new solution is scheduled to begin no later than 2027.
The project will be implemented using best global practices and advanced technologies, with the involvement of domestic IT experts.
The key advantages of the new system should be:
In addition to the requirements described above, the system must incorporate all current functionality, including new transportation process requirements.
Special requirements for the project developer include experience in development for the railway industry, a staff of specialists with various profiles, and a portfolio of completed projects.
The company welcomes proposals and is open to constructive dialogue.
