KTZ completed the spring inspection of locomotives

All operational locomotive depots have completed a comprehensive preparation of the locomotive fleet for the summer period of operation. As part of the spring inspection (SI), 91% of locomotives were inspected - this is 1,546 units, including diesel and electric locomotives. The remaining machines were undergoing scheduled repairs with a transfer to summer operation mode.

During the inspection, special attention was paid to the technical, aesthetic, fire safety, sanitary and cultural condition of the traction rolling stock. The commission assessed the compliance of locomotives with the requirements of the Rules for the technical operation of railway transport.

Based on the results of the SI, the average score for the company was 4.4 points.

Also, based on the results of the inspection, the best locomotive depots in the country were determined. The leaders were recognized for the quality of the technical condition of the locomotives, as well as compliance with the requirements for their appearance, production culture and sanitary conditions.

Among the locomotive depots of the 1st group (diesel locomotives), the first place was awarded to the Kurort-Borovoye operational locomotive depot, the second to the Matay, and the third to the Almaty depot. Among the locomotive depots of the 2nd group (electric locomotives), the first place was taken by the Shu operational locomotive depot, the second to the Aryss, and the third to the Karaganda depot.

The work carried out confirms the high readiness of the locomotive fleet for operation in the summer period and demonstrates the company's systematic approach to ensuring the reliability and safety of freight transportation.
