KTZ calls on shippers to increase shipment rates for May and June 2025

In January-April 2025, grain transportation by rail increased by 54% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 4.7 million tons. Of these, 3.7 million tons were exported, which is 60% more than a year earlier. The largest growth was shown by deliveries to

Central Asian countries: shipment volumes to Uzbekistan increased by 18%, to Tajikistan - by 45%, twofold - to Turkmenistan and fourfold - to Kyrgyzstan. Exports to the Baltic countries (8 times) and Iran through the Caspian ports of Aktau and Kuryk (10 times) are growing especially rapidly.

According to the results of the marketing year (from September 2024 to April 2025), the volume of grain transportation on the KTZ network reached 9.8 million tons, which is 52% more than in the same period last year. Exports grew by 58% and amounted to 7.7 million tons. Deliveries to Central Asian countries increased by 35% to 4 million tons. There was also a significant increase in exports to Iran - by 16 times, to Afghanistan - by 34%, to the Black Sea ports - by 28%, and to the Baltic countries - by 4 times.

KTZ calls for an increase in grain loading in May and June in order to promptly free up elevators, carry out scheduled fumigation and other necessary measures to ensure the reception of the new harvest of 2025.
