KTZ and Mersin International Port (PSA International Group) discussed Cooperation in the Development of the Middle Corridor

Chairman of the Management Board of NC KTZ JSC Talgat Aldybergenov held talks with General Director of the Mersin International Port Ajay Kumar Singh in Ankara. The meeting was held as part of the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev to Turkey. 

The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the development of the TITR and the creation of effective multimodal logistics solutions between Asia and Europe.

Chairman of the Management  Board of NC KTZ JSC Talgat Aldybergenov reported on the high interest and readiness of the partners to ensure stable  volumes of cargo transportation and emphasized the important role of the port as the main hub for transshipment of cargo in the Middle Corridor.

During the talks, the issues of the port's readiness to receive increased volumes of cargo, the development of port capacities for processing large volumes were discussed.
In order to create an effective logistics chain, the Kazakh side proposed that the port of Mersin use the potential of the joint venture of NC KTZ JSC and PSA International - KPMC. The enterprise is already actively operating to develop multimodal transportation along the

China-Turkey routes (including Izmit, Kosekoy), transportation along the Xi'an-Istanbul routes, block trains along the Qingdao-Khorgos-Sergeli routes, etc. 

The meeting participants expressed confidence that joint efforts will contribute to deepening trade and economic cooperation between the countries and further unlocking the transit potential of the region.
