KTZ and the delegation from Oman discussed the development of transport and logistics cooperation

A meeting of the company's management with the delegation from the Sultanate of Oman was held at the office of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC (KTZ). The parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation in the field of railway transportation and logistics. 

During the meeting, it was noted that over the past 10 years, container transit through the territory of Kazakhstan has increased 5 times. Particular attention was paid to the international transport corridor "North - South", which has received a new impetus in development and is becoming a key route for transporting goods to India, Pakistan and the Middle East. The corridor provides a logistical choice between three directions of the route.

KTZ is also actively developing the Trans-Afghan International Transport Corridor, which provides the shortest exit from Central Asia to the ports of the Arabian Sea. This route opens up new prospects for the transit of goods to the countries of the Persian Gulf, including Oman. Following the meeting, the parties noted the high potential for strengthening transport and logistics partnerships, which will speed up the delivery of goods between regions and increase the efficiency of logistics solutions.
