KTZ: 100,000th container sent from Xi'an via TITR
02-06-2025
The 100,000th container (in TEU equivalent) was sent from the Chinese city of Xi'an as part of a container train along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). The train consists of 50 containers loaded with electronics, furniture, consumer goods and other products.
The anniversary shipment was the result of the joint work of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, China Railway and the Xi'an Port Group of Companies (PRC).
Since the start of operation in February 2024, the Kazakhstan-China terminal in Xi'an has handled more than 200 thousand tons of cargo and has become an important logistics platform in international trade.
The dispatch of the 100,000th container from this terminal confirms its high demand and impact on transportation along the TITR route, as well as the effectiveness of interaction between the logistics partners of the two countries.
