Koktuma railway station to be modernized

KTZ continues the program to modernize railway stations across the country. The list of facilities to be reconstructed includes the Koktuma railway station, located in the resort area of the Zhetysu region.

The reconstruction will update the infrastructure, improve the comfort and safety of passengers, and create conditions for access for people with limited mobility.

The procurement procedures were completed in May 2025 in accordance with the Procurement Procedure of Samruk-Kazyna JSC. The project is being implemented under the EPC contract mechanism, which provides for the design, procurement of materials and execution of construction work by one organization. All information is published on the open platform zakup.sk.kz. The reconstruction is financed by KTZ's own funds.

The modernization of the Koktuma railway station will be an important step in the development of the region's transport infrastructure, creating more comfortable and modern conditions for passengers.

The station modernization program is being implemented by KTZ in stages. When selecting the facilities, passenger traffic, technical condition and tourist significance of the stations were taken into account.

Station modernization is an important social project of KTZ. Modern stations should be convenient, safe and meet the needs of all categories of passengers.
