Kazakhstan Temir Zholy celebrated World Heart Day

KTZ held events dedicated to World Heart Day, aimed at raising awareness among employees about cardiovascular disease prevention and fostering a culture of health care.

Approximately 120 employees participated in the event, undergoing ECGs, and 130 employees had their blood sugar levels checked.

Medical support was provided by partners Archimedes Medical Group, International Clinic of Asia, and Medicare Industrial Medicine.

Preventive examinations and express screenings were organized for railway workers through the following events: "Measure Your Blood Pressure," "Know Your Cholesterol," "Know Your Sugar," "Know Your ECG," and consultations with a cardiologist and general practitioner.

All participants were given informational leaflets on cardiovascular disease prevention.

Particular attention was paid to practical training: a training session was held on first aid for cardiovascular diseases. Employees practiced cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills on a simulator and received expert advice.

Participants were reminded that the main risk factors for heart disease and stroke include high blood pressure, high cholesterol and blood glucose levels, unhealthy habits, and excess weight.

The celebration of World Heart Day was an important step in strengthening the corporate culture aimed at maintaining the health and well-being of railway workers.
