Kazakhstan Increases Vegetable Oil and Feed Exports to China

From September 2024 to February 2025, a record was set for rail deliveries of vegetable oil and high-tech animal feed to China.

The volume of compound feed transportation increased fivefold compared to the same period last year and reached 748 thousand tons. The growth in exports of high value-added products was noted both in covered wagons and in containers.

Vegetable oil exports continue to show stable growth: over the past six months, their volume amounted to 93 thousand tons, which is 19% higher than in the 2023/24 marketing year (MY), and 47% more than in 2022/23 MY.

794 thousand tons of raw grain and 171 thousand tons of milled products were exported to China.

Such results became possible thanks to the coordinated work of the railway companies of the two countries, farmers and all participants in the logistics chain.
