Grain transportation on the KTZ network has increased

In January-June 2025, 6.6 million tons of grain were transported on the KTZ network, which is 2.3 million tons more than in the same period in 2024 (an increase of 53%). Domestic transportation increased by 30% to 1.5 million tons, export transportation amounted to 5.1 million tons, an increase of 2 million tons (an increase of 62%).
2.6 million tons of grain were shipped to the countries of Central Asia, which is 31% more than last year. Transportation to Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan doubled, to 158 thousand and 29 thousand tons, respectively. Over 1.8 million tons were sent to Uzbekistan (+23%), 623 thousand tons to Tajikistan (+35%), and 117 thousand tons to Afghanistan (+35%). Transportation via ports and transit routes showed significant growth: volumes via Aktau and Kuryk to Iran increased 12-fold, to/via Russia 4.7-fold, and to the Baltic countries 13-fold.
Transportation via the Black Sea ports increased by 45%, and via the Baltic ports by 18%. Transit via the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan exceeded 500 thousand tons. KTZ continues to ensure timely dispatch of agricultural products from domestic producers to foreign markets to prepare grain storage facilities for the new harvest.
