EAEU Railwaymen Agreed

The First Meeting of the Heads of Railways of the EAEU Member States was held in Moscow (RF), following which an interaction instrument (SRZhD) was created, aimed at deepening integration processes in the field of railway transport.

The heads of the railway administrations of Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan adopted a number of fundamental documents for the functioning of the SRZhD, exchanged views on current work and adopted a joint work plan for 2025-2026.

In addition, NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC held a bilateral meeting with Russian Railways, during which the results of 2024 were summed up. In particular, an increase in container transit over 5 years from the Russian Federation to China by 8 times, from China to the Russian Federation by 27 times was noted. Plans for the current year were also outlined.

The parties agreed on the development of transit routes China-Europe, North-South, signed an Action Plan to improve the efficiency of interstate junction points for 2025.
