27-10-2025
On October 26, 2025, a train departed on the Almaty-Moscow route following the resumption of direct rail service between Kazakhstan and Russia. Approximately 40 passengers traveled on the trip.
This year, the route's carriages were upgraded with modern passenger carriages manufactured domestically by the ZIKSTO plant. The new compartment and reserved seat carriages are equipped with improved sound insulation, modern air conditioning systems, and sanitary modules. For passenger convenience, specialized carriages for passengers with reduced mobility are also available. The train includes one 36-seat compartment carriage and one 52-seat reserved seat carriage.
The Almaty-Moscow carriages travel to Saratov station as part of train #7/8 "Almaty-Saratov," after which they are coupled with train #85/86 "Derbent-Moscow" for the journey to the Russian capital. Departure from Almaty-2 is scheduled for 8:20 PM. The train will depart from Moscow in the return direction on October 30.
From October 26 to 30, 2025, trains will depart from Almaty-2 on even days. From November 1 to December 13, departures will be on odd days.
Travel documents are available on the official website bilet.railways.kz and at all railway station ticket offices.
