Development of the TITR discussed in Baku

During a working visit to Baku, Chairman of the Management Board of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC Talgat Aldybergenov took part in a meeting with the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev, as well as in an extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of the joint venture «Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd.».
Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Assel Zhanasova and Chairman of the Committee for Railway and Water Transport Zhanibek Taizhanov, heads of «Azerbaijan Railways» CJSC, JSC Georgian Railway took part in the meeting with Rashad Nabiyev.
The issues of development of the Middle Corridor, digitalization of processes, implementation of the Roadmap for eliminating bottlenecks and other relevant areas of cooperation were discussed.
An agreement was reached on the introduction of joint monitoring of the transit times of container trains along the route. This will ensure schedule stability, promptly resolve emerging logistics issues and improve the efficiency of the route.
The joint efforts of the partners ensured the key competitive advantages of the route - speed and reliability of delivery. Today, cargo from China to Europe via TITR is delivered in 15-18 days, which is 2 times faster than sea transport.
As part of the extraordinary meeting of shareholders of «Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd.», agreements were reached on the entry of China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd., nominated by China Railway Container Transport, into the joint venture. The integration of China's leading container transportation operator into «Middle Corridor Multimodal» Ltd. will give a new impetus to the development of the route and strengthen the competitive advantages of the route.
