Development and modernization of the Dostyk track section

The Dostyk track section is a strategic section of the Aktogay-Dostyk line and the Dostyk-Alashankou international crossing, spanning 307.5 km of main track. It comprises 112 engineering structures, including 36 bridges.

As part of the "Construction of Second Tracks on the Moiynty-Dostyk Section" project, the workforce has doubled to over 500 employees,
the transition to reinforced concrete sleepers has been completed, technical speeds have been increased, and Talgo trains can now operate at speeds of up to 130 km/h.

In 2025, a major overhaul of the maintenance and repair facilities at Dostyk station was completed: the roof, windows, utility lines, and façade were renovated, interior finishing was completed, and lighting was modernized.

This has improved energy efficiency and improved working conditions for staff.

Fourteen year-round residential modules, meeting modern safety and comfort standards, have been installed for employees at stations and sidings.

The façade renovation of eight residential buildings at the station has been completed: exterior walls have been renovated, and façade and basement elements have been restored, significantly improving the appearance and operational characteristics of the buildings. Work on renovating the façades of social facilities continues.

The Dostyk station's housing stock includes 177 buildings with a total capacity of 1,200 apartments: 78 apartment buildings (with 980 apartments), 97 cottages, and two dormitories.
