The corporate ombudsman of KTZ visited the Kostanay region

As part of a two-day working visit, Kanat Almagambetov, Corporate Ombudsman of JSC NC KTZ, visited several stations in the Kostanay region, where he held meetings with workforces.

An extended meeting with representatives of the Kostanay freight transportation departments and the mainline network was held at the Kostanay station. Meetings with workforces were also held at the Zheleznorudnaya, Tobol, Arkalyk, and Yesil stations.

The purpose of the visit was to familiarize employees with working conditions, the state of social and labor relations, the level of compliance with labor ethics and corporate values, and to develop direct dialogue between workforces and the Corporate Ombudsman.

During the meetings, employees raised a number of pressing social issues that directly impact production activities. Specifically, the discussion focused on the transportation of shift workers to remote stations, staffing challenges due to a shortage of specialists at distribution points, additional payments for hazardous working conditions in certain professions, and the need for wage indexation.

Furthermore, the renewal of the shunting locomotive fleet and the increase in personnel in the face of growing transportation volumes were discussed.

Clarifications were provided on a number of requests. Information on issues requiring further consideration will be communicated to employees after being discussed with the Company's relevant structures.

Following the visit, the high level of professionalism of railway employees in the Kostanay region, their commitment to KTZ's corporate values, and their willingness to engage in open and constructive dialogue were noted. Developing human capital, improving working conditions, and maintaining social stability remain key priorities for JSC NC KTZ.
