Construction of a new container hub in the port of Aktau was discussed in Astana

On May 15, 2025, a working meeting with representatives of Lianyungang Port Group LLC, a strategic partner of the company, was held in the office of KTZ subsidiary KTZ Express. The main topic of the negotiations was the construction of a new container hub on the territory of the Aktau Sea Trade Port.

The project, implemented by KTZ Express JSC jointly with Lianyungang Port Group LLC and Aktau Sea Trade Port NC JSC, will become an important link in the development of modern logistics infrastructure in Kazakhstan. The meeting participants discussed the current status of preparation and implementation, paying special attention to key organizational and technical issues related to the first stage of construction.

Upon completion of the first stage, scheduled for the end of this year, the design capacity of the future hub will be up to 140 thousand TEU per year. The hub is designed to strengthen Kazakhstan's transit potential, improve route connectivity and provide new opportunities for participants in international supply chains.

KTZ Express and the Port of Lianyungang have been linked by more than ten years of fruitful cooperation. During this time, such significant infrastructure projects as the Kazakh-Chinese terminal in the Port of Lianyungang and the Khorgos Gateway Dry Port, which have become key points of the Eurasian Transport Corridor, have been implemented.
