Coal transportation is under constant control of KTZ

From May to September 2025, 23.6 million tons of coal were transported across Kazakhstan, which is 1.2 million tons (+5%) more than in the same period last year. Including for thermal power plants - 21.9 million tons (+1.5 million tons), for the population - 1.7 million tons.

All shipments of power and municipal coal are provided with the required number of cars. Loading and delivery are monitored by NC KTZ JSC. 

To coordinate transportation, a headquarters operates around the clock, with more than 60 specialists from the central office and regional divisions involved.

The fleet of gondola cars of JSC Kaztemirtrans is 29 thousand units, of which 18 thousand are used for coal transportation. During the summer period, meetings were held with the Ministry of Industry and

Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akimats and coal enterprises on the issues of timely provision of consumers with coal.

Since September 10, daily meetings with local executive bodies have been resumed for the prompt coordination of coal supplies to the population.

NC KTZ JSC continues to ensure uninterrupted transportation of coal and calls on operators and shippers to submit applications for transportation in a timely manner in the conditions of the beginning of the heating season.
