The 6th Eurasian Forum on Transport Security and Digitalization was held in Almaty.

The 6th Eurasian Forum on Transport Security and Digitalization was held at the Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University. The event brought together 270 participants from Kazakhstan, neighboring countries, and beyond.

The forum served as a platform for discussing current issues related to transport and operational safety, the implementation of digital solutions, and the development of intelligent transport infrastructure.

Particular attention was paid to technologies for remote diagnostics, end-to-end monitoring, computer modeling, and the implementation of unmanned systems.

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, national carriers, industry associations, IT companies, security system manufacturers, members of the Senate of the Parliament, as well as delegations from Russia, China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Georgia, participated in the forum.

In his speech, Murat Toregeldin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC , noted Kazakhstan's strategic importance in the Eurasian Transport Corridor. He emphasized that KTZ prioritizes infrastructure development, rolling stock renewal, digitalization, and improving operational safety.

As part of its digital transformation, KTZ is implementing projects with Huawei and Wabtec, deploying the Kinetix system to automate technical inspections, and upgrading data transmission equipment. These measures are already helping to reduce safety violations: a 5% decrease was recorded in the first nine months of this year, exceeding the target of minus 19%.

The forum program included panel sessions on:

• rail transport safety,
• digital transformation of the industry,
• development of road, air, and water transport, and
• training of qualified personnel.
   

The event also included an exhibition of transport and logistics products and a ceremony to present the Dostyk commemorative medal.
