Winter traffic safety measures discussed in Almaty

An extended nodal meeting on ensuring train traffic safety and railway transport operation was held at Almaty station under the chairmanship of Marat Shakenov, Director of the Traffic Safety Department of NC KTZ JSC. 

       
The meeting was attended by heads of structural enterprises of Passenger Transportation JSC, the Almaty department of freight transportation and the  main network, instructor train drivers, locomotive crews, employees of related services, and representatives of the Trade Union.

The issues of operating enterprises in winter and measures taken to improve train traffic safety were considered. The results of the autumn commission inspection conducted to ensure traffic safety and prevent emergency situations in winter conditions were summed up.

Enterprises in the region were tasked with ensuring an uninterrupted transportation process, improving production activities and traffic safety. In the passenger sector, it is recommended to tighten quality checks for preparing passenger trains for travel.

Before the nodal meeting, an inspection of the readiness of enterprises for work in the winter period was conducted.
