Turkestan can be reached by trains on 16 routes. Trains run to Aktau on 6 routes, including the longest route in the country - from Mangistau to Semey and back. Passenger train No. 37 connects the west and east of Kazakhstan. The train is on the way for 128 hours. Travels 50 stations and 3.2 thousand kilometers.

The largest number of railway routes is focused on Astana - 37. Every month they transport 1 million passengers, including both local residents and city guests. The southern cities are served by 29 routes to Almaty and 20 routes to Shymkent.

The price of train tickets depends on the distance and class of carriages. For example, on one of the popular routes, the cost of a ticket for train No. 204/203 “Shymkent-Astana” is 10,421 tenge for a reserved seat and 15,824 tenge for a compartment. In the suburban direction No. 7507/7508 “Astana-Borovoye Resort” the ticket price is 2,307 tenge per seat.
