On November 21, bilateral negotiations were held in Tashkent between the delegations of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC and Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC on the further development of cooperation in the field of railway transport and increasing the volume of cargo transportation.

The effective work of the railway administrations of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was noted, as a result of which transportation received dynamic development and over the 10 months of 2023, the total volume of transportation between the two countries increased by 21%, including exports from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan by 37%.

The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and creating favorable conditions for cargo transportation, including through the implementation of a competitive tariff policy and digitalization of the transportation process. According to the meeting participants, this will contribute to a further increase in transportation volumes.

During the meeting, issues on new areas of cooperation and the search for additional opportunities for organizing cargo transportation were also discussed.
