Transportation of petroleum products by rail - under constant control

Over 4.7 million tons of petroleum products were transported through the KTZ network in the first quarter of 2024, which is 6% higher than the same period last year. Exports increased by 22% compared to last year and amounted to 1.3 million tons. 3.3 million tons were transported throughout the republic.

The Ministry of Energy, KTZ and railcar operators jointly coordinate the organization of fuel and lubricants transportation. To quickly resolve issues and ensure efficient and timely transportation of petroleum products, KTZ operates a headquarters with the participation of heads of road departments, «PetroKazakhstan Oil Products» LLP, «Atyrau Oil Refinery» LLP, «Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery» LLP  and Operator of Railway rolling stock of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Headquarters meetings are held daily.
