Transportation of agricultural goods by rail was discussed in Kostanay region

In Kostanay, the management of the branch of NC KTZ JSC - "Integrated Planning Directorate" held another meeting with shippers, exporters of grain and flour of the Kostanay region. It was attended by representatives of industry associations and government agencies involved in the transportation process. 

The issues of efficient transportation of the new harvest by rail, measures to ensure the passage of goods and compliance with delivery times were discussed. Branch Director Vadim Kopylov acquainted the meeting participants with the activities to modernize the railway and build new routes in the direction of China.

It was noted that since the beginning of 2024, the Kostanay freight transportation department has loaded 1.8 million tons of grain and 866 thousand tons of flour. Domestic grain transportation increased by 2%, to 555 thousand tons, flour by 15%, to 202 thousand tons. 1.3 million tons of grain and 664 thousand tons of flour were sent for export. Grain exports to Afghanistan increased by 9%, and to China by two times. Kostanay grain and flour are also sent to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Russia.

During the meeting, comprehensive answers were given to all questions from shippers.
