Topogeodetic and archaeological work on the Darbaza – Maktaaral section has been completed

The project for the construction of the Darbaza – Maktaaral railway line is being implemented according to plan.

Currently, the designer has completed topogeodetic, hydrological and archaeological work, taking into account re-routing in the Darbaza-Maktaaral section.

On February 23, 2024, the Department of Land Relations of the Turkestan Region issued Resolutions to reserve land for the construction of railway tracks.

Resolutions were received from the district akimats of Saryagash, Keles, Zhetysay and Maktaaral to issue permission to conduct survey work in the Darbaza-Maktaaral section.

- The construction of a railway is a very complex and voluminous process, consisting of several stages. First, preparatory work, geodetic, geological surveys, procedures for land acquisition and much more are carried out,” said Yesbatyr Nurzhan, chief engineer of the branch of NC KTZ JSC - “Directorate for the Implementation of Major Projects”.

The implementation of the project to build a line bypassing the Saryagash station and the Tashkent hub will increase the capacity of this direction and increase the level of development of the main transport, as well as customs and border infrastructure.
