TITR: a digital platform for clearance of transit cargo has been launched on the border of Kazakhstan with China

06-12-2024

The process of declaring customs transit cargo on the border of Kazakhstan with China, following the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), has been automated.

Global DTC, together with KTZ Express JSC (a subsidiary of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC), launched the digital platform Tez Customs. The implementation of Tez Customs made it possible to switch to paperless document flow and reduce the time for customs procedures to 30 minutes from the moment the train arrives at the border station.

The platform includes preliminary preparation of documents, automatic registration and issuance of transit declarations. This allows optimizing logistics processes, increasing the transparency of all stages of clearance and significantly reducing the time of customs operations.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NC KTZ JSC and Global DTC, since May 2024, Tez Customs has fully automated the process of clearance of transit cargo along the China-Central Asia route in the direction of Altynkol - Saryagash.

In October 2024, the scope of the platform was expanded to TITR. During the operation of the platform, more than 54 thousand transit declarations were automatically processed along the China-Central Asia route, and over 5 thousand on TITR.

Reference: Global DTC is the developer and operator of the DTC platform, a technology company from Singapore. Global DTC is a member of the PSA International group, a leading global port operator.
