There is a discount for purchasing a ticket with the Sayakhatshy discount card on 14 routes

With the onset of the holiday season, Passenger Transportation JSC offers passengers to use discount cards.

The Sayakhatshy discount card is beneficial for those who often travel by train. The discount is awarded to the passenger for all trips made during the last 12 months. To receive a 20% discount, the total cost of travel on passenger trains must be over 200001 tenge,
15% - from 150001 to 200000 tenge, 10% - from 100000 to 150000 tenge.

The discount applies to commercial and socially important trains on the following routes:
  - No. 1/2 Almaty-Saryagash;
- No. 3/4 Astana-Almaty;
- No. 9/10 Astana-Almaty;
- No. 11/12 Almaty-Shymkent;
- No. 25/26 Almaty-Shymkent;
- No. 27/28 Almaty-Uralsk;
- No. 29/30 Almaty-Atyrau;
- No. 31/32 Almaty-Pavlodar;
- No. 41/42 Almaty-Atyrau;
- No. 68/67 Astana-Oskemen;
- No. 71/72 Astana-Shymkent;
- No. 73/74 Almaty-Zhezkazgan;
- No. 86/85 Astana-Shymkent;
- No. 65/66 Astana-Zhezkazgan.

The card is issued free of charge and is valid for two years. You can apply for it at the ticket offices of Passenger Transportation JSC at railway stations, as well as through the “Discount Cards” section on the website bilet.railways.kz by filling out an application and attaching a copy of your ID.

You must obtain a discount card at the ticket offices of Passenger Transportation JSC at railway stations. To do this, you must provide identification, email address and phone number. The discount can be used when purchasing tickets both offline and online.

The card is issued for only one person, is personal and its transfer to third parties is prohibited; it cannot be exchanged, returned or restored.

The national carrier also offers a line of discount cards “Altyn”, “Kumis” and “Zhastar”, which allow you to get a 25% discount when purchasing train tickets.
