The pilot project “train + plane” is being launched by Passenger Transportation JSC together with SCAT airline

On February 3 of this year, a pilot project for intermodal transportation “Train+Plane” will start. The initiators of the project are Passenger Transportation JSC together with the airline SCAT JSC and the UvU company.

The project will allow passengers to purchase bus, plane and train tickets on one route and will provide the opportunity to find the best option for traveling around Kazakhstan, providing convenient transfers between different modes of transport. The pilot project (train + plane) will be tested along the Kostanay-Astana-Shymkent route and back.

Departure on the route “Kostanay-Astana-Shymkent” (train + plane) on odd dates:
- Train No. 81 will depart from Kostanay station to Astana along the Kostanay-Astana route;
- Departure of a transfer from the closed premises of the arrival hall No. 2 of the Nurly Zhol station to the international airport of Astana;
- Departure from Astana airport to Shymkent by flight DV 772 “Astana-Shymkent”.

Departure on the route “Shymkent-Astana-Kostanay” (plane + train) on odd dates:
- Departure from Shymkent airport to Astana on flight DV 771 “Shymkent-Astana”;
- Departure of a transfer from the first line of the parking lot of terminal No. 2 of the Astana airport to the Nurly Zhol station;
- Train No. 47 will depart from Nurly Zhol station to Kostanay on the Astana-Atyrau route.

The pilot project will end on February 28 of this year.
