Special machines is quickly transported by rail to the regions to combat floods

KTZ allocates wagons for the rapid transport of special machines to flood zones from other regions of Kazakhstan. The corresponding instruction was given by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev. Railway workers organize the transportation of special equipment to the regions around the clock to eliminate the consequences of floods and carry out emergency rescue operations.

From the stations of Almaty, Karaganda, Mangystau, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Shymkent, Kostanay, bulldozers, tractors, dump trucks, Kamaz trucks, loaders, manipulators, cranes for flood control were sent to Uralsk, Atyrau, Aktobe, etc.
KTZ trains transported 4 thousand rescuers and military personnel to participate in emergency rescue operations. Cars have been allocated on trains for the delivery of humanitarian aid to flooded areas.

12 thousand people were transported free of charge by passenger trains along the Atyrau-Kulsary-Atyrau and Kulsary-Mangistau routes. More than 2 thousand more passengers were transported in additional carriages along the Atyrau-Mangistau, Atyrau-Almaty and Atyrau-Astana routes. Additional trains run on the routes Uralsk - Kyzylorda, Atyrau-Karagandy, Almaty - Atyrau, which made it possible to transport more than 2 thousand passengers. The transportation of 500 children from flood-affected areas to health centers and children's camps was organized.

During flood periods, in some regions of the country the only mode of transport is the railway. All divisions of KTZ have been transferred to work in an enhanced mode. Thanks to timely flood control measures, the railway infrastructure was not damaged, and trains are moving according to schedule.
