Special machines for clearing snow from the railway is ready for work

280 units of special machines are fully operational for snow removal on the railway: 192 snowplows and 88 snow removal machines. 
All equipment has undergone scheduled repairs and maintenance.

Special equipment is distributed throughout the railway network, taking into account snow-covered sections in winter. The total length of such sections throughout the main network is more than 5 thousand kilometers. The bulk of snow removal and snow cleaning machines are concentrated in the Akmola, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Abay and Aktobe regions.

Snow protection fences have also been repaired to protect the track from snow drifts. Pneumatic blowing systems at stations are ready for operation to ensure uninterrupted operation of turnouts.

Railway workers are ready to ensure safe and uninterrupted transportation of passengers in winter, during periods of heavy rainfall, in conditions of closed roads and flights.
