The representatives of KTZ took part in the first Kazakhstan-Chinese grain forum

The first Kazakhstan -Chinese grain forum took place in the city of Bole (Bora-Tala) XUAR (PRC). It was attended by representatives of the ministries of transport, agriculture of the two countries, KTZ, Kazakhstan and Chinese businesses. At the forum, issues of cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, the possibility of increasing cargo turnover between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China, as well as the conditions for the supply of export cargo were discussed.
It was noted at the forum that thanks to joint work, the volume of cargo transportation between the two countries at the end of 2023 increased by 22% compared to the previous year and reached a record figure of over 28 million tons. Cargo exports increased by 35%, to 12.6 million tons. One of the main crops supplied by Kazakhstan to China is barley and wheat. Last year, exports of grain cargo increased 3 times, to 2.2 million tons.
The Kazakhstan party informed about the large-scale work being carried out to repair the track, modernize signaling and automation equipment, construct new sections and expand infrastructure on the Moiynty-Dostyk section.
During the forum, the Kazakhstan delegation got acquainted with the work of the new terminal for unloading grain crops and vegetable oils in the bonded area of the Alashankou station. Also in Alashankou, a meeting was held with the city leadership, representatives of customs authorities and the station.
The meeting participants agreed to create a working group to quickly resolve emerging issues when transporting exports to China.
