Rail freight transportation between Kazakhstan and China increased by 12%

Over the five months of this year, the volume of rail transport between Kazakhstan and China increased by 12% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 12.8 million tons. At the same time, exports increased by 17%, to 8 million tons. 4.8 million tons of cargo were delivered to Kazakhstan by rail, this figure increased by 6%.

Based on the results of January-May of this year  cargo transportation between Altynkol - Khorgos stations increased by 7% compared to last year, to 5.3 million tons. Through the Dostyk station, 7.4 million tons were transferred to the PRC and back, which is 17% higher than last year.
