NC KTZ JSC held public hearings on the results of the Company’s activities for the 1st half of 2023 in providing regulated services to the main railway network, providing access roads and transmitting electrical energy in the field of natural monopolies. The main tasks for the 2nd half of 2023 were also announced. Public hearings were held in Astana at the central office of JSC NC KTZ, 6, including the organization of an online broadcast.

The event was attended by representatives of the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consumers of services.

The chairman of the hearings, Managing Director for Finance Dair Kusherov noted that the Company pursues an open policy in relations with consumers of services to improve the efficiency of its activities.

Deputy Director for Economics and Finance of the branch of NC KTZ JSC - "Directorate of the Mainline Network" Alexander Kirovich informed about the company's performance in the provision of services to the mainline railway network. He spoke about the implementation of the volumes and quality of services provided, the implementation of the investment program, the achievement of key financial and economic indicators and prospects for the development of activities, the item-by-item implementation of the tariff estimate, as well as the ongoing work with consumers of services.

Freight turnover in regulated services of the main railway network (export, import, domestic traffic) amounted to 102,621 million t-km. The mileage of passenger cars is 360,721 thousand car-km.

Revenues from the provision of regulated services of the main railway network amounted to 214 billion tenge.

The total volume of investments in the 1st half of 2023 for regulated services of the main railway network amounted to 45 billion tenge.

The investments made by the Company in the 1st half of 2023 made it possible to satisfy the needs for freight transportation by rail, ensure uninterrupted operation of railway transport, and increase the speed and turnover of trains in certain sections.
