Kazakhstan-Serbian Business Forum was held in Belgrade, where representatives of the two countries discussed the prospects for joint projects and strategic initiatives. Deputy General Director for Commerce of KTZ Express JSC (a subsidiary of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC) Ulugbek Orazov presented the company's key initiatives aimed at developing infrastructure along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).
"In order to strengthen Kazakhstan's position in the global transport system and create an integrated logistics chain along the entire TITR, we are systematically developing a terminal network at key points of cargo absorption and distribution," U. Orazov noted.
In connection with the need to form a terminal network in the European part of the TITR, the company's future plans include expanding its presence in the ports of Alyat, Constanta and Budapest. The implementation of these projects will strengthen the transit potential of cargo transportation and ensure a full logistics cycle "from door to door" along the entire route.
During the event, it was noted that, based on the results of 10 months, container transportation along the TITR reached 46.3 thousand TEU (an increase of 2.6 times compared to 2023), including 27.6 thousand TEU in the direction from China, which is 26 times higher than last year's volumes.
These figures for transportation volumes emphasize the strategic importance of the route, which provides reliable transport links between the East and the West.
