The presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan took part in the ceremony marking the arrival of a container train from Xi'an to Absheron

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ilham Aliyev took part through a teleconference in the arrival ceremony of a container block train from the new Kazakh-Chinese Transport and Logistics center in Xi'an to Absheron station (Azerbaijan) along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

This event was preceded by the opening of the Kazakhstan terminal and the launch of the first train on the China-Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan route on February 28 of this year.

In a solemn speech, the Head of our state emphasized that today, in the conditions of global geopolitical turbulence, a new transport and logistics framework of Eurasia is being built. In his opinion, close and fruitful cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan plays a key role in this process. Through joint efforts, the trade and economic potential of the two countries is expanding.
 

In turn, President Ilham Aliyev congratulated transport workers on this significant event. He noted that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are actively working to strengthen interaction in many areas of cooperation, including the transit and transport sector.

In conclusion, the leaders of the two countries expressed gratitude to all Kazakh and Azerbaijani specialists for their productive joint work and wished them further success.
