Pavlodar Design and Experimental Center has mastered new production

In 2024, Pavlodar Design and Experimental Center (DEC) of the Main Line Directorate of NC KTZ JSC manufactured more than 13,800 tools for track facilities and repaired over 400 units of small mechanization and equipment. 

In addition to fulfilling the annual planned tasks of the company's structural divisions, the center deals with solving non-standard issues. It develops technical documentation and drawings, participates in installation and testing, and assists innovators in the implementation of complex technical solutions.

Last year, DEC specialists discovered a new direction for themselves. In addition to their usual work, specialists manufactured 1,140 benches intended to equip production shops of linear enterprises.
 

- Before manufacturing the benches, a sketch with the appropriate dimensions was prepared, which was approved by our railway workers. The materials and fastening elements were chosen as simple as possible. The first trial batch was tested in the linear shops of the Pavlodar station hub. The workers responded positively: the furniture turned out to be functional, simple and durable. After that, a decision was made to manufacture a batch of similar products for other track sections, - said the head of the design and experimental center Murat Makimov.

The new benches were distributed among the track sections for use in timekeeping rooms, heating points, switch posts, changing rooms and other premises. 287 units have already been sent to enterprises in the western region, 155 to the southern region, and another 698 units have been shipped for distribution to the central, eastern and northern regions.

The Pavlodar Design and Experimental Center intends to continue work on the manufacture of furniture. This year, it is planned to manufacture another 1,000 similar benches.

In general, in 2023-2024. In the framework of improving the working and rest conditions of employees, the Main Network Directorate purchased 312 modular buildings for rest, equipped 1,224 heating points, purchased 4,320 units of small mechanization equipment, about 9 thousand units of office equipment, 3,637 bag-containers, carried out routine repairs of 436 buildings, etc.
